Are the results permanent?
Yes, the transplanted hair follicles will continue to grow like regular hair. They are, in fact, real hair. The follicle will grow out regularly.
Is the procedure completed in one sitting?
It depends on the patient’s requirements and degree of baldness. For fuller hair over a large patch, more than one sitting will very likely be required. Accurate answer can only be given once one of our surgeons has had the chance to meet the patient.
Are there any side effects to the FUE treatment?
We perform thorough tests to make sure the patient is compatible with the treatment. Therefore, if all goes well and the tests come out clear there will be no lasting side effects.
How long does recovery take?
Each patient’s experience tends to vary a little. Usually the patient will be able to return to work and regular activity within 2 to 5 days. However, in some cases it can take longer.
How does a Hair Transplant procedure work?
The procedure we conduct is called Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE).
Method: This procedure involves taking skin grafts from the bald resistant skin, also called donor areas, in groupings. These groups comprise of up to 4 or so hair each. These follicular unit grafts are transplanted on to the bald or thinning spots.
